National Football League to Support Andrews Institute Injuries in Football Conference

GULF BREEZE, Fla. (April 3, 2018) – The 13th Annual Andrews Institute Injuries in Football Conference, presented by the Andrews Research & Education Foundation, will be held on May 3-5 in Miramar Beach, Florida. The National Football League (NFL) will serve as the official conference sponsor.

The conference will feature some of the most knowledgeable health care professionals in sports medicine, including Allen Sills, M.D., FACS, Professor of Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and Chief Medical Officer for the NFL, James P. Bradley, M.D., Head Team Orthopedic Surgeon for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Mike Goodlett, M.D., Team Physician for Auburn University, Jeff Allen, M.Ed., ATC, LAT, Associate Athletic Director for Sports Medicine at the University of Alabama and James R. Andrews, M.D., among others.

The conference is designed for athletic trainers, biomechanists, coaches, sports physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, physiologists, therapists and all other allied medical personnel that work with football athletes. Various courses will review current concepts of assessment, treatment, functional rehabilitation and musculoskeletal problems of the football player. In addition to orthopaedics, conference topics will include neuroscience and head injuries.
